The BYOC (Bring Your Own Cake) Club is a community picnic where everyone brings their own cake to share! A potluck entirely dedicated to cake. Bakers are encouraged to bring a homemade creation to display! The more creative the better! It's a joy to see them all come together.

Who Are We?
Hi! We are Jessica and Aanika. We're two friends who found each other while navigating life in a new community, and quickly bonded over a shared love of good conversation, new connections, and—most importantly!—cake. What started as simple hangouts turned into a tradition of hosting, baking, and celebrating all things sweet.
After hosting our first cake picnic together in Boise, Jess moved to Utah. We were more determined to keep these events going after seeing how well received it was in Boise. This is why we're returning to Boise for another celebration of homemade cakes — and this spring we're also launching for the very first time in Salt Lake City!
We believe there's something special about bringing people together over dessert—cake has a way of breaking the ice, sparking conversation, and is the sweetest way to turn a neighbor into a friend. This picnic is our way of creating a space where everyone feels welcome, can meet someone new, and enjoy a slice (or two) alongside us!
Who Is Invited?
We want any cake lover to join our event for an opportunity to meet new friends and marvel at each other's baked goods! All are welcome — whether you're a seasoned baker or it's your first time in the kitchen.

We want this event to be accessible to anyone interested so for that reason the ticket price is only $10 per person. This covers rentals, venue, as well as provides you with utensils, napkins, a cake knife and a to-go box!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I actually have to bake a whole cake?
While we encourage a full cake, anything baked counts! Tarts, cake pops, and pies are all welcome. The goal is to bring something that represents you. Homemade and decorated cakes are especially encouraged! It's so fun to see all the different creations!
Where exactly is the event?
There will be two separate events this year. Our first event will be on May 16th in Salt Lake City at Sugarhouse Park, from 11:00am–2:00pm. The second will be in Boise at Camel's Back Park on June 27th, also from 11:00am–2:00pm. The full address and details will be sent to ticket holders via email once dates are confirmed.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
All flavors are celebrated! If you bring something with dietary restrictions in mind, let us know so we can label it accordingly for fellow guests.
Who is invited?
We want any cake lover in Boise to join our event for an opportunity to meet new friends and marvel at each other's baked goods! All are welcome to bring a cake and enjoy the event—just RSVP through the email so we can plan for numbers!
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Most of our guests arrive solo and leave having met a whole group of new friends. It's one of the best parts about the event!
